Fanella's Mastiffs & Windy City Acres

About us

Fanella's Mastiff's and Windy City Acres is home to Rich, Deya, and our four kids.  We moved from Chicago, IL to Kentucky on what we can only come to conclude that it had to be destiny.  We had no family or friends and we have never been to this part of Kentucky before.  Traveling to Myrtle Beach for bike week 2000, my husband decided to pick up a land/home book and take it home.  A few months later he wanted to see what was available and maybe buy land as an investment.  We took a weekend to look at some land for sale and on our last listing, as soon as we saw the rolling hills of what is now our property we just knew we had found a little piece of heaven on earth.  In 2003 we decided to move and have never looked back.

We have met the nicest people and the saying of "southern hospitality" has been proven very true for us.  Thank you to all our friends and new family here in our new home state.  We share our home with Stella, Heart, and Marley our English Mastiffs, and their buddy Lola, an American Bulldog.  We raise Nigerian Dwarf Miniature Dairy Goats which we milk to help supplement our Mastiff babies and free range Chickens for their fresh organic eggs.  I never planned to have a miniature barn but with the help and mentoring of my good friend Alta from Creekside Farm it has been a blessing that I did decide on this breed of goats.  Our dogs on the other hand are truly the gentle giants.  They are part of our family first and our protectors and companions.  Our dogs surround our home and are part of our daily lives.  These beautiful dogs need to be near their family and it is very important that our puppies go to homes with a family that will make them a part of their lives also.
